Congratulatory messages have trailed the appointment of Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua as Chairman, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State
The State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa yesterday constituted a Transition committee for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
This was due to the recent postponement of local government elections by the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC).
A former Ondo Central Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Seun Majasan in his congratulatory message, described the appointment of Dr. Fasua as the right choice for the betterment of Akure South Council.
According to Majasan “I commend Governor Aiyedatiwa’s choice of Dr. Fasua as the new Chairman of Akure South Council.This shows that the governor places a high premium on the people of Akure.
“It is a well known fact that your vast experience will help the Akure South Local Government to grow and so I believe you will hit the ground running,” he said
Majasan therefore said that Dr. Fasua would do well as Council Chairman and thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for finding him worthy.
