Dalung also alleged that the President Bola Tinubu-led administration is afraid of the former Kaduna State governor.

African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Solomon Dalung, has said the decision of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to turn himself in to security agencies was a “great mistake”.
The former Minister of Youth and Sports made this known recently while appearing as a guest on Trust TV.
According to Dalung, the Nigerian government decided to arrest and detain El-Rufai because it is afraid of him.
He added that the authorities had first tried to arrest the ex-Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister at the airport, but failed during the attempt.

Speaking during the interview, Dalung claimed: “The government is really afraid of El-Rufai, which is why they believed he might take some action, so they decided to arrest him.”
He went on to claim that the federal government understood that trying to catch El-Rufai could cause an uprising.
He also noted that during the struggle against oppression, “comrades don’t surrender”.
“El-Rufai chose to minimise his role and give himself up, which was the biggest mistake he made as a fellow member.
“Comrades don’t surrender. If you give up during a fight, you will end up feeling ashamed. It’s an established principle in struggle. When they strive to achieve something, they become very careful,” Dalung added.
