Tijani Babangida, former Super Eagles, and Ajax winger tied the knot with Kannywood actress, Maryam Musa Waziri in Gombe State

Nigerian former footballer, and Ajax winger, Tijani Babangida, has married another celebrity from the movie industry, Kannywood’s Maryam Musa Waziri.
The love birds after a period of courtship finally tied the knot in Kaltungo, Gombe, on 26th November 2021.
The high point of the ceremony, was when the groom was conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Baraden Wazirin Kaltungo.

Tijani Babangida in his playing days was known for his pace, he spent the majority of his playing career at Ajax and had 36 caps for the Super Eagles.
The 48-year-old spent nine years in the Netherlands, playing for VVV-Venlo, Roda JC, Ajax, and Vitesse, winning the Eredivisie plus KNVB Cup double in the process.
He played at the 1998 World Cup in France, participated in two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, and won the 1996 Olympics with Nigeria.
His wife, Maryam Musa Waziri was born on November 9, 1992 in Gombe State, Nigeria.
Maryam had her tertiary education at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAD) and graduated in 2015.
She bagged her first movie role in Kannywood in 2015 and has since grown to become one of the most sought-after young actresses in the movie industry.
