Obiano went on to describe the rumour as “unfortunate” and attributed it to individuals who take pleasure in spreading falsehood for reasons that remain unclear. He maintained that such mischief would not distract him.

He also expressed appreciation to those who reached out with calls, messages, and prayers, noting that their love and goodwill “mean more than words can express.”

“By the special grace of God, I am doing very well.

“It is unfortunate that some individuals still find joy in spreading falsehood simply for reasons yet to be established. But we will continue to rise above such mischief.

“To everyone who reached out with calls, messages, and prayers, I sincerely appreciate your concern. Your love and goodwill mean more than words can express.”

He also urged the public to disregard the rumour completely and said he remains “focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace.”
