Former Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra has posted a bizarre video of himself in handcuffs and prison uniform on social media after reports that a court sentenced him to one year in prison.
According to Le Parisien, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office confirmed that the former French international was handed a 12-month prison sentence after he was found guilty of abandoning his family for over two years.
In the report, it was gathered that the 43-year-old allegedly owes €969,000 in unpaid alimony.
He was also said to have abandoned his enstranged wife, Sandra Evra and their two kids between May 1, 2021 and September 28, 2023.

Reacting to the verdict in a video he posted on his Instagram page, the ex-Red Devils’ defender, who was wearing an afro wig, an orange prisoner jumpsuit, a large dollar-sign chain and teeth grills, and with his hands handcuffed together, sarcastically said, “I enjoyed myself in prison”
Evra, who was also seen playing basketball on a court added, “They have to put me in jail because I was breaking the internet.”
