Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen, is set for the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury during Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Reading in the FA Cup fourth round match on Saturday evening.
The Red Devils took the lead during the cup competition in the 55th minute, when Casemiro scored after an assist from his compatriot Antony, before getting a brace three minutes later.
Fred rounded off the scoring for United, in the 66th minute after his brilliant flip from a pass from Bruno Fernades found the net and made it 3-0 for the host.
The visitors eventually pulled one back through Reading striker, Mbengwe 18 minutes to the end of the match but it was United who progressed into Monday’s 5th round draws

After the match, Manchester United boss, Ten Hag, while speaking with journalists, confirmed the injury.
The Dutch tactician, who faces a hectic fixture schedule in February with eight matches in all competitions, said it was “difficult” to give a diagnosis of the injury for now.
However, Eriksen, who left the field on crutches, is expected to be assessed over the next 24 hours to ascertain the level of damage done to the United midfielder and how long he would stay on the sidelines.
