Enugu APC gov candidate, Nnaji boasts he’ll win

Nnaji also said it is the first time there is a real contest in Enugu State and noted it is the first time all Progressives Party (APC) is in with a shout

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Enugu State, Uche Nnaji, has said he will win the ongoing governorship election in the state if the votes of the people of the state count. 

He made the assertion after casting his vote at Agwashi 015 polling unit in Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.

Nnaji, who was escorted to the polling unit to cast his vote by the South-East APC National Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu and the Zonal Organising Secretary, Dozie Ikedife also applauded the electoral process, saying it has been smooth.

The 48-year-old gubernatorial aspirant went on to say it is the first time there is a real contest in Enugu State and noted it is the first time APC is in with a shout in the south-east state.

He said, “The exercise is working quite well, this time around it would not be business as usual, this is the first time in Enugu that there is a real contest, and this is the first time since its creation as a party that the APC is keenly contesting all elections in Enugu and this time around should the votes count we are likely to win because this is the first time.

“Ndi Enugu at the grassroots are interested in who governs them and God willing I will emerge as governor,“ he said.

He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) for its level of preparedness and the improvement noticed in the electoral process.
