The Lagos State police command may have realised that it is foolhardy to stop the #EndSARS memorial protest scheduled for October 20. It had initially banned the planned procession, only to allow it with the condition that protesters should not block major roads.

The momentum on social media for the protest has made #EndSARS the major trending topic on Twitter. This may have forced the hand of the police, given the preparation of Nigerians to hit the road on October 20 in what they tag the #EndSARS memorial protest.

Here’s a tip of what Nigerians have been discussing online.
