He urged Nigerians to complement the Federal Government’s efforts towards tackling insurgency head-long, adding that security was the collective responsibility of everybody.

“I have no doubt in my mind that the Almighty Allah will soon put an end to the all the challenges facing the country.

“I also have no doubt in my mind that with serious and sincere prayers, the country will win the war on the insurgency.’’

Kabir commended the security agencies for their doggedness and urged them to improve on their intelligence gathering, if their quest to surmount the insurgency was to be achieved.

He further advised politicians to unite and pursue one cause that would benefit the entire citizenry.

In his remarks, the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, congratulated all Nigerian Muslims for successfully completing the Ramadan fast and urged them to ensure peaceful celebration of the Eid el-Fitr.

“As we celebrate Sallah, we should also remember that all religion preaches peace, harmony and unity.

“ So, I enjoin Nigerian Muslims to continue to live in peace and tolerance with one another.’’

Saraki also solicited prayers for the country’s leaders, to enable them to work for Nigeria’s development.

“With prayers and our cooperation as Nigerians, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

“We should not relent in our prayers; we should continue to pray as Nigerians for a better tomorrow,’’ Saraki said.
