Elder statesman and Elehinogbe of Idanre kingdom in Ondo State, Chief Israel Akintade Ogunsakin, would be buried on November 29, 2024
Chief Ogunsakin, who was known for his peace making efforts in the community, died on the 3rd of September, 2024, aged 102
Captain Steve Olabode Akintade Ogunsakin, who spoke on behalf of the family said “our father was a man of rare qualities, gentle, kind, and unassuming, with a heart of gold.
“He was a true renaissance man. He possessed an unbridled passion for culture and humanity, which he infused into our upbringing.
“He instilled in us an unwavering curiosity and an appreciation for the finer things in life. His approach to life still inspires us today, and his legacy lives on in the way we navigate the world.”
He continued: “Our father ‘s actions instilled in us the value of being respectful, kind, and always willing to lend a listening ear.
“What I most admired about our father was his unwavering love for his family. He had an innate ability to make each one of us feel cherished and adored, irrespective of the challenges he was going through. He never hesitated to put his family first. Even though he is no longer with us, his legacy endures.
“Let me use this opportunity to say that our father lived a life of impact. His love, kindness, and empathy touched everyone he encountered, and his legacy endured. He taught us how to live with a purpose, appreciate the beauty in life, and be a person of virtue. He was our role model, mentor, and friend, and we will always miss him,” he added
