Collation of results of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections has begun at Yobe East Senatorial District, the Returning Officer of the district, Prof. Yakubu Muktar said.
Muktar told the News Agency if Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Damaturu that the results of Gujba Local Government Area (LGA|) had been received.
“We have just received the results of one local government council out of seven in Yobe East which comprises Gujba, Gulani, Tarmuwa, Damaturu, Gaidam, Bursari and Yunusari,’’ he said.
The returning officer, however, said that the results collated would be released as soon as INEC issued the directive in that regard.

According to him, 53,743 voters were registered in Gubja area, out of which 9,477 cast their votes. (NAN)
