EKL graduates USADF LSETF batch 4 students

EKL students of the Batch 4 United State of African Development Foundation (USADF) and Lagos State Employability Trust Fund Support Program (LSETF), Production Assistant skills acquisition training for those who desire to take up a career in Nollywood and production have successfully completed their 6 weeks training with Entertainment Konzult Ltd (EKL) one of the VTC’s involved in the project.

According to the CEO Ambassador Willie Workman Oga, EKL has trained about 119 students so far with the basic knowledge of film Production and other skills of production that will help galvanize their entry into the entertainment industry in Nigeria. This project by USADF and LSETF has opened doors for those dreaming of becoming Actors, Cinematographers, Directors, costumers, Editors and Producers etc.

Workman further stressed that some of the ex-students are now part of some Nollywood productions alongside Nollywood A-list actors, featuring either as actors or technical crews as the case may be. Some are presently shooting their independent productions, something they never envisaged they could do before coming for the training.

The project which is mainly targeted at youths in Lagos State and sponsored by the USADF and LSETF has witnessed a tremendous rise in self-sustaining ventures undertaken by most of the students who were adequately schooled in the various aspects of multi-media. With laudable initiatives like this project, if replicated in other parts of the country will reduce the issue of unemployment and the craving for irregular migration to Europe in search of greener pastures by youths in general, he intoned.
