This is not the best of times for Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker,  Mudashir Obasa. The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has on October 8, ordered that the three bank accounts run by the Speaker be temporarily confiscated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Obasa has been having a tough time in the hands of the EFCC who have been investigating him for graft to the tune of N9 billion.

The three accounts confiscated include two denominated in naira while the third holds U.S. dollar deposits.

Obasa was called in for questioning earlier today by the EFCC. The freeze on his account came hours after he arrived at the EFCC field office in Lagos.
