Eedris Abdulkareem says Seyi Law told him he regretted supporting Tinubu, comedian denies

Afrobeats singer and lead rapper for the defunct hip hop band ‘The Remedies’, Turayo Abdulkareem Ajenifuja aka Eedris Abdulkareem said contrary to recent claim by comedian, Seyi Law that he will vote for  President Bola Tinubu again if the need arises, he actually admitted to him that supporting him during the February 2023 election was a mistake

Eedris made this known while featuring on the latest episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ Podcast.

Prior to this, TheNiche had reported that Seyi Law while responding to criticising from netizens for his continued support for Tinubu’s administration, despite the excruciating economic crunch said: “if another election was held tomorrow, I would still vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

However, speaking about the claim in the recent chat, Eedris Abdulkareem said the comedian apologised to the audience at a recent event he attended, and even denounced his support for Tinubu.

He said: “I was at an event yesterday and Seyi Law came up and said, ‘Abeg, make una no vex o! Everybody don curse me taya because I stand for Tinubu. I no dey im mandate again o!’

“I was like, ‘Seyi, how do you cope now?’ He said, ‘My brother, I messed up.’ He said no be say im collect anything. He said he made the biggest mistake.”

Reacting to allegation, Seyi Law refuted Abdulkareem’s claims, saying he probably took his joke seriously.

Taking to hia X page, he tweeted: “Thanks for posting this first. I have been looking for someone who recorded my performance. So where did I tell Eedris I made the biggest mistake? Is it that he thinks a joke is a reality?”

In another post, the comic actor wrote: “Eedris na person wey I love, but this is not true abeg. @iamshortfamily, when I talk this one for your show?”
