Kano Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been appointed to lead the 49-member All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council for the September 19 Edo governorship election.
A statement by the deputy national publicity secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, says Gabduje and 48 others were appointed by the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the APC to chair the Party’s high-level National Campaign Council for the Edo State Governorship Election.
The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, was announced as the Deputy Chairman and Abbas Braimoh, Secretary of the 49-member APC National Campaign Council for the Edo election.
“This followed the approval for the constitution of a National Campaign Council for the 19th September, 2020 Governorship Election, by the National Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, H.E. Mai Mala Buni.
“The campaign council will be inaugurated on Monday, 6th July 2020 at the Party’s National Secretariat,” he said.
Other members of the campaign council for the Edo election include, deputy senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege, Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, former national chairman of the APC, John Odigie-Oyegun, immediate past national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Still in the list are; Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha, minister of state for petroleum, Timipre Sylva, Dr. Pius Odubu, Senator Degi Eremiemyo Biobaraku, Prof. Oserheimen A. Osunbor, Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, John Owan Enoh, E.J. Agbonayiman, Babachir Lawal.
Others are: Prince B.B. Apugo, Gen. Charles Airhiavbere, Peter Akpatason, Patrick Aisowere. Johnson Oghuma, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, Pally Iriase , Dennis Idahosa, Rachel Akpabio, Bolaji Afeez, Gabriel Iduseri, Cairo Ojougboh, Patrick Obahiagbor, Ayiri Emami, Abubakar Adagu Suberu, Usman Nahuche, Engr. Chidi Orji, Dr. Almajiri Geidam, Sa’idu Umar Kumo, Pius Akinyelure, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi, Solomon Edebiri, Prof. Ebegue Amadasun, Saturday Uwulekue, Osaro Obaze, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, Rinsola Abiola and Theresa Tekenel.
