Speaking to FIFA.com on the chances of the nine-time African champions, Ebi, who was included in the 23-woman squad unveiled by the team’s head coach on Friday, believes the Nigerian team can make it to the last four this time.

She also said this is possible because the team has the required talent and experience.

She said: “As a team, we want to do better than we did at the 2019 World Cup in France. Being totally honest, I think we can aim for the semi-finals. We’ve got high-quality, experienced players and some really talented youngsters.

“It really is doable, and it’s up to us to grab the chance with both hands and show the world that we are Nigeria and that we’re not just there to make up the numbers. I’m ready for a sixth World Cup, and we’re ready as a team.”

Super Falcons are expected to arrive in Australia on Tuesday, July 4, for a 15-day final camping programme before the finals commence on July 20.
