Paris, France – D’Tigress head coach Rena Wakama has assured fans that her team is calm and free from pressure as they prepare for today’s quarter-final match against the United States in the basketball event at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics.

The African champions secured a crucial clash against the defending champions after finishing third in Group B, behind France and Australia, despite winning two games in the group stage. Their victories against Australia and Canada, who are ranked third and fifth respectively, have sent a strong message to their potential opponents.

In an interview, Wakama affirmed that D’Tigress have nothing to prove against the United States, who are the favorites in today’s quarter-final duel. She expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, particularly highlighting the importance of their defeat against France.
