Music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, has left his fans wondering whether the report that he was interrogated by the State Security Service (SSS) was true or false.
An online newspaper reported that the SSS invited the producer and a top music star, Tiwa Savage, for questioning for their political utterances against Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari’s government two weeks ago.
But Don Jazzy, in a short video of 11 seconds, simply said: “What is quizzes.” He then laughed off, refusing to address the report.
Tiwa Savage has not commented on the story as well at the time of filling this report.
Sifting through an avalanche of twitter chatter, it reveals that the SSS may have had discussions with the artistes, but not in the sense of interrogation, but as advisory on their social media posts, especially when Tiwa Savage started a hashtag #WeAreTired, to protest against the many incidences of rape in the country.
On Twitter, which is the main news source for the majority of news readers, Tiwa Savage has 4.2 million followers, almost a million followers ahead of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari whose twitter followers is 3.3 million. Don Jazzy followers is 5 million.
