Two goals from the top scorer in the 25th and 69th minutes were all Dolphins needed to grab the three maximum points from Nasarawa United last Sunday when the match ended 2-1 in their favour.

And now with Abia Warriors in focus, officials of the team are banking on the skills of the utility player to give them the full points, or at least a point, from the match in Umuahia.

“We are now in smoking mood. Following the victory over Nasarawa United, we are now second on the log, and we don’t want to take chances as we intend not to drop a point again, including in our match against Abia Warriors in Umuahia.

“We are going for the match with the determination not to disappoint the management of the club, and with God on our side, we will excel,” said an official of the team.

Eduok was happy with his goals against Nasarawa United, and has promised that nothing will stop him from achieving his set target for the team.

He said: “Before the season started, I told myself I wanted to get 15 goals in the league. Right now, I have 12 with nine games left to play; so I believe with God on my side, I will surpass my pre-season’s goal target.”
