Diri congratulates new head of service, Didi Walson-Jack, applauds Tinubu

Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has felicitated Didi Walson-Jack on her appointment as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation by President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement on Thursday by his spokesman Daniel Alabrah, Diri said the news of Walson-Jack’s appointment brought joy to the people of Bayelsa State and Ijaw in general.
The Bayelsa governor described Walson-Jack as a distinguished civil servant with an exceptional public service career.
He said, “Your appointment as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is a significant milestone in your public service career.
“The government and people of Bayelsa State, and, indeed, the Ijaw nation are excited about this remarkable advancement and achievement of a worthy daughter of our state and the Ijaw nation.

“Your dedication and excellent performance in every office you have held stood you out and we are particularly grateful to Mr. President for recognising competence, hard work and distinction in your choice.”
While commending Tinubu, Diri noted that it is equally gratifying that merit was not sacrificed for other primordial considerations in appointing Walson-Jack.
He said Tinubu has again proven that he is a leader who is committed to fairness, justice, national integration and upholding of the principles of federal character in his administration.
Diri also expressed the optimism that she would bring innovation and her wealth of experience to bear in this assignment and service to the country.
