Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the 2023 Kogi State governorship election, Dino Melaye, has described David Adeleke aka Davido as the best in the “Nigerian music industry” amid his feud with his colleague, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid.
He made this known on his X handle, where he also argued that the ‘Electricity’ crooner is “undoubtedly” the most commercially successful globally.
Joining a lot of prominent Nigerians who had commented on the supremacy battle between two Nigerian Afrobeats megastars, the PDP chieftain pitched his ten with Davido.
Speaking via his verified social media handle on Wednesday, Dino Melaye tweeted: “Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally.”
TheNiche had earlier reported that Wizkid and Davido recently engaged in a fierce social media war on X after the former aimed a dig at the latter and a prominent music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy.
While Don Jazzy unfollowed Wizkid on Instagram after the saga, Davido challenged him to a hit battle, to which the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner is yet to respond.
