Former Chelsea player and coach, Roberto Di Matteo, has said his old club will defeat Manchester United 2-1 in Saturday’s Premier League fixture despite the Blues poor record at Old Trafford.
He made the prediction on Friday while discussing the week five league encounter.
Chelsea have not tasted victory at Old Trafford in a league game since Juan Mata’s late winner in May 2013.
The west London club head to the game after losing 3-1 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League in mid-week.
Enzo Maresca’s side currently sit in 5th position on the Premier League table with eight points.
While analysing the crucial game, Di Matteo said he expects Chelsea to edge the match.

He, however, noted that the Red Devils are unpredictable and difficult to beat on their own turf.
Speaking to BetVictor (via Metro UK), Di Matteo said: “I can’t figure out Manchester United yet.
“They are a little bit of an enigma. You don’t really know what to expect. What I think, is that going to Old Trafford is always a tough game.
“I don’t think Ruben Amorim has found a magic formula yet for the club or the players he has.
“I just hope Chelsea will get a good result. On the first day of the season, Arsenal found it tough against Manchester United. Eventually they won it – but it is always a tough away game… 2-1 to Chelsea.”
