President of the Students Union Government (SUG) in the Delta State Polytechnic in Ogwashi Uku, Comrade Choice Christopher, is celebrating her daughter on her birthday, recalling that the world turned against her over the pregnancy which was out of wedlock.

Choice Christopher, who obviously gave birth to the child when she was much younger, is elated that the child has so much grown that many people would think they are siblings.

Like Choice Christopher, many young women who get pregnant before marriage often face humiliation on the ground that it helps deter others from going into premarital sex. Some simply get rid of the pregnancy to avoid the humiliation. Others, in the process of abortion, lose their lives.
