Delta Gov: Tribunal affirms Okowa’s victory

The Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Asaba has ruled that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate was duly elected.

The tribunal headed by Justice Nasir Gunmi dismissed the suit by Chief Great Ogboru, candidate of the Labour Party in the April 11 governorship election.

In its ruling, the tribunal also dismissed the challenge posed by Olorogun O’tegha Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
