Artists and photographers can now submit images in the Omooba Yemisi Adedoyin Shyllon Art Foundation (OYASAF) photography contest till April 6.
The project, which is in collaboration with UFUK Dialogue Foundation, is titled ‘Colours of Harmony’. There is expected to be a showcase in Abuja next month after which some selected works shall be exhibited in a travelling exhibition for an extended period.
This competition is the second OYASAF collaborative effort at promoting Nigerian art with UFUK Foundation. The first collaboration between the two foundations was titled ‘Art for Peace: Paint African Values’.
According to the organisers, this second collaboration is a photo competition of different parts of Nigeria, depicting the togetherness and cultural co-existence in the country’s diversity.
“This photography competition will explore Nigerian culture, diversity and relationship of the different aspects of Nigeria’s cultural life through the lenses of Nigerian photographers,” a statement from the organisers explained.
Participants can win prizes in five categories, from N250,000 to N50,000.
