Ifeanyi, the 3-year-old son of the singer, on Monday, October 31, drowned in his father’s Banana Island swimming pool and was rushed to Lagoon Hospital in Ikoyi, where he was pronounced dead.

Davido, who has been in a mourning and sober mood since the unfortunate incident occurred last month, eventually stepped out for the first time.

In a video making rounds on social media, Davido was seen at a barbing salon getting a haircut, but his eyes were swollen.

Despite his brave effort to put up a smiling face, netizens noticed he was still hurting and expressed heartfelt sympathy, as they affirmed through their comments that the pain was still written all over his face.

“Look at his eyes😢.. it’s so obvious he has been crying 😢,” one netizen wrote in the comment section.

Meanwhile, Davido will not be performing at this year’s ‘Are We African Yet?’ (A.W.A.Y) festival, earlier scheduled to hold at the 20,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta Georgia, USA on November 18, 2022.

This development means fans of the music star will now have to wait for another year, after the festival management announced the event has been postponed to Saturday, November 18, 2023.

The organisers of the festival, while apologising for the date change, said that A.W.A.Y was moved because the singer needs time to be with his family and loved ones after the tragic and sad loss.
