Ace Afrobeats singer and record label owner,  David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has vowed not to refund the $94,600 (about 72 million naira) allegedly paid to him by former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick and others.

TheNiche had earlier reported that Pinnick called out the singer, saying he refused to show up at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again Fest’ despite getting paid.

The sports administrator who made this known while addressing attendees at an event, threatened to teach the ‘Electricity’ crooner a lesson.

He further said Davido has become too proud despite not being a bigger artiste than Burna Boy and other Warri-born artistes.

Pinnick speaking in Pidgin said, “We paid Davido $94,600 on the 6th of April. We paid $18,000 for his plane. If im say him be big boy, we go tell am say we Big pass am.”

Reacting to the accusation, the singer said he would rather double the money and give it to a football charity organisation than refund it.

He went on to describe Pinnick as “Mr Dream Crusher”, alleging that many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because of his greed.

Speaking via his Instagram story, Davido wrote, “If I’m returning any money, I’ll return it to any football charity organization.

“In fact, I will double it….. Mr Dream Crusher… imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because person one lives for Ikoyi by force.”
