Ace Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido, has reacted to claims that his associate and popular music executive, Ubi Franklin, stole a luxury watch during his recent wedding in Miami, United States.
Speaking via a social media post, the ‘Electricity’ crooner urged the talent manager to ignore the rumours.
Franklin had earlier denied stealing the watch after the rumours began to trend on Wednesday following a report on a blog.
Responding to the allegations via his X page, he wrote, “I am currently aware of the recent circulation on social media linking my name to an alleged theft. I wish to make it clear that these allegations are completely false and misleading.”

He further explained what transpired
adding that, “I want to state clearly: I am not a thief. I have never stolen from anyone in my life. I purchased a wristwatch and paid in full from Benny.”
Reacting to the post, Davido stated that Franklin doesn’t owe anyone an explanation.
He went on to describe those peddling the rumours as “fools.”
He wrote, “You owe nobody any explanation… fools.”
