Davido, other celebs felicitate with Banky W after winning PDP Primary

Davido congratulated the singer and urged Eti-Osa electorates to troop out and vote for him during the forthcoming 2023 general election

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has congratulated politician and fellow musician, Olubankole Wellington, aka Banky W, after winning one of Peoples Democratic Party’s primaries in Lagos States.

The ‘Lagos Party’ crooner on Monday, May 23,  was declared the winner of the Eti-Osa House of Representative primary after gathering 28 of the 31 votes cast by delegates. 

Davido took to his Twitter handle on Tuesday, May 24, to congratulate the singer and urged Eti-Osa electorates to troop out en masse and vote for him during the forthcoming 2023 general election. 

He wrote,  “Congrats @BankyW! You have my support! Don’t sit at home and complain, get up and make a change.”

He was not alone, other celebrities also congratulated Banky W and pledged their support for the EME boss. 

Nightclub owner and businessman, Obinna “Obi” Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana congratulated Banky W for winning the ticket.  

“Congratulations @BankyW on securing PDP Primaries ticket for House Of Representatives,” he tweeted

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu also rejoiced with the singer, advising that it is time to even work harder on the campaign ground.  

He said, “One building block at a time. Congrats @BankyW! Time to prepare even harder bro,” 

Rapper and record label owner, MI Abaga also reached out to his colleague, labelling him as someone who doesn’t just talk but backs his talks with actions.   

He tweeted, “Many will talk, few will do. Congrats @BankyW.”

Attention now shifts to Wizkid, who signed a record deal with Banky W in 2009, as he is yet to publicly congratulate his former boss after his latest achievement.
