Nigerian musician, Davido has been nominated in the Global Music Star category of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
An elated Davido tweeted, saying he feels good to be nominated alongside music stars. He asked his fans to pray that he might win.
“Feels good to be nominated alongside the Greats!! Make una no jonze oo we fit win oooo!! Vote for me as Favorite Global Star at the @nickelodeon Kids choice Awards 2019. AFRICA LETS TAKE THIS ONE!” he said on Twitter.
He was nominated alongside Taylor Swift, BlackPink, and J Balvin among others in the category.
He joins others like Cardi B for the award which will take place March 23.
Organisers of the awards said a set of successful youths from various fields such as television, movies, music and social media, would be recognised.
Artistes to represent other continents include BlackPink from Asia, Troye Sivan from Australia/New Zealand, Europe’s David Guetta, Taylor, David Guetta, Taylor Swift from North America, J Balvin from Latin America and UK’s HKRVY.
His fans have been reacting to the nomination with some saying he deserves the nomination.
Early this month, Davido parked out the 25,000 capacity 02 Arena in London.
