Davido got the wristwatch as a gift after he performed at Depay’s 30th birthday party recently

Ace Nigerian Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken to social media to appreciate a gift he got from Dutch striker, Memphis Depay.
The La Liga star reportedly gifted the ‘Electricity’ crooner a multi-million naira ‘Rolex’ wristwatch after he performed at his 30th birthday party recently.
Confirming the gesture on his Instagram page, Davido claimed it was the first time he ever received a gift from anybody.

He went on to thank the Atletico Madrid forward, saying he has always been the one giving to people.
Speaking via his social media page, he said: “N*gga bought me a rolex on his own birthday! I never receive gifts, I’ve always been the one to gift people. “I love and appreciate you @memphisdepay.”
However, after the claim by the Afrobeats star, a fact check by TheNiche revealed he was giving cash gifts by several Nigerian celebrities during his birthday years back which he later donated to charity.
