Davido and Chioma lost their only child in 2022 after he drowned in a swimming pool at their home in Banana Island, Lagos

Ace Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has said the news that his wife, Chioma, is expecting a baby is not true.
The ‘Electricity’ crooner debunked the rumour after a blogger reported that the celebrity chef is pregnant and will soon become a mother.
A blog had on Monday shared a video on Instagram, alleging that Chioma was expecting another child with the singer.

Reacting to the news of his wife’s pregnancy, Davido took to social media and urged the blogger to pull the video down as it was an old clip.
He went on to ask the blog to respect her privacy.
Taking to his IG page, he wrote; “Old video delete n respect my wife’s privacy. Thank you.”
In 2022, Davido and his wife, Chioma were bereaved after losing their only child, Ifeanyi to a home accident.
Ifeanyi passed away after he drowned in a swimming pool at the singer’s residence in the Banana Island axis of Lagos State.
Efforts to revive the three-year-old after being pulled out of the swimming pool were futile, as he was confirmed dead by doctors after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, the Award-winning Nigerian singer recently recounted how Chioma initially turned down his romantic advances toward her.
In a chat with vlogger Tayo Aina, Davido said he first met Chioma while they were both studying at Babcock University in Osun State
He said: “I was in a Prado, and I looked behind and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma.
“I told Lati omo, I like that girl, go and call that girl for me. He called her but she did not answer me at the time.”
He further said it was love at first sight immediately he set his eyes on her.
