Davido and wife, Chioma also received a congratulatory message from controversial singer, Portable despite ongoing feud

Ace Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has made another controversy statement despite the backlash that greeted an earlier claim.
Speaking in a trending video from his wedding ceremony, the Electricity crooner claimed that the wristwatch he wore with his first outfit was worth $800,000 (approximately N1.2 billion).
“Ain’t no fake watch, mehn. $800,000, man,” he said while flashing his watch on the camera.
Prior to this, Davido had sparked controversy after claiming that his wife:s engagement ring was worth three Rolls Royces.
The claim was largely disputed, with the likes of former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality star and comedian, Dee One challenging him to present a receipt to support his claim.

Meanwhile, controversial Afrobeats singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has extended his congratulations to Davido and his wife, Chioma on their wedding day despite their animosity.
Reposting a video of Davido and his wife’s pre-wedding shoot via his Instagram account, the ‘Zazu’ crooner prayed for God’s blessings upon the couple’s union.
Portable wrote: “Ori Ade, God bless your family @davido.”
TheNiche had earlier reported that Portable and Davido fell out after the former accused the latter of giving him “bad advice” during their recent dinner in the United States.
His outburst led to Davido unfollowing him on Instagram.
Portable later claimed that the DMW boss abandoned him after “using him to trend”.
