Davido described the attack on the church as one incident too many and prayed to the repose of the souls of those killed

Nigerian Singer, David Adeleke aka Davido, Nollywood Toyin Abraham, and other celebrities have expressed their sadness over the attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
The attack on the church located behind the Oba’s palace in the ancient town of Owo occurred on Sunday, June 5, while some Christian faithful were worshiping in the church.
Reacting to the attack which led to the loss of lives and injured many others, Davido described it as one incident too many and prayed to the repose of the souls of those killed.
On his Twitter page on Sunday, Davido wrote, “Jesus take control. Pray for Nigeria. RIP to all the lost souls. #prayforondo. This is too much.

Also commensurating with the people of Owo, ace Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham said: “My heart goes out to the people of Owo, Ondo State, and everyone affected in this tragic incident. May the souls of the departed rest in peace and may God give their loved ones the strength to carry on at this very sad time. My heart is broken.”
Comic actor and popular skit maker, Mr Macaroni was not left out as he took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Just reading that St Francis Church in Ondo State has been attacked! Multiple people have been killed! I’m not even sure of the numbers.
“I saw a part of the video and I couldn’t even watch till the end! Is there no longer value for human life in Nigeria? Goodness!
“How can you just kill people like this? How? Like their lives mean nothing! What should happen to their families?? Their loved ones, friends, colleagues??
“What has happened to the right of every citizen to life? There is no justification for this madness!”
Falz on Instagram, said, “So many different emotions, but mostly anger and absolute frustration. Sick to my stomach.”
While another singer, Johnny Drille wrote. ”Those people that were killed left their homes this morning never even slightly imagining that this was going to happen to them. This country, this place is getting scarier every day.”
The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, had to cut his Abuja trip short after the attack and on getting back to the state, vowed to bring the perpetrators of the attack to book.
