He said the company’s strategic expansion to more than 10 African countries was geared towards reducing the pressure on the Naira and repatriation of foreign earnings into the country.

Ahmed said the group was committed to increasing the value of the Nigerian economy through the chain of its activities in the oil and gas, manufacturing, construction and logistics business.

He emphasised that the company’s drive towards diversification and innovation had grown it into one of the largest conglomerates in the country.

Dr Knut Ulvmoen, an Executive Director, Dangote Group, said that the company was leveraging on effective transportation system in getting its goods to the market.

“We have 8,000 trucks in Nigeria. There is no use having a factory without being able to take the goods to the markets,” he said.
