According to her, a sequence of events that occurred in ten days made her give up on using jewelry

In her words;  “I used to love jewelry. I had all kinds and the jewelry had to match every cloth I wore. In those days I used to tell God not to take jewelry from me.

” If anybody had come to me and told me not to wear jewelry, I would not have listened to the person. I would have wondered where that person is coming from. But by the time God started dealing with me on it, I had no option but to do away with it.”

The philanthropist also said that she decided to listen to God when her earlobes suddenly started bleeding.

She also added that before she started bleeding, her sister had dreamt about such an occurrence.

Reacting to Akakija’s revelation, Daddy Freeze opined it was a figment of the imagination of the businesswoman and not words from God as he posted:

“God has ‘suffered in the hands of Nigerians’.”

Folorunsho Alakija is a billionaire businesswoman and philanthropist, whose business interests include fashion, oil, real estate, and printing.

She is ranked by Forbes as the richest woman in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $1 billion as of 2020.
