World 100m hurdles Champion (12:12), Tobi Amusan, and Ese Brume aiming for medals for Nigeria at the Commonwealth Games, after they respectively qualified for the Women’s Hurdles and Long Jump events.

World Record holder, Amusan qualified for the final of the Women’s 100m Hurdles with a win (12.40) in her heat.

Meanwhile, Ese Brume recorded qualification mark by leaping 6.81m (+0.3) in her second attempt to the women’s Long Jump final.

Amusan and Brume will return on Sunday to reclaim the Commonwealth Games title at Alexander Arena.
