SCALE’s Organizational Development (OD) Summit is a grand assembly designed to address the pressing issues faced by CSOs and BMOs. Initiated in 2022, the Summit has evolved into a key platform for networking, collaboration, and learning, intending to drive positive change within the sector. The Summit’s overarching theme for 2024 is “Driving Change and Innovation for Resilience and Performance”, focusing on equipping leaders with the knowledge, tools, and strategies necessary to foster innovation and promote shared learning.

The 2024 Summit will address contemporary challenges such as shrinking donor funding, increased competition for resources, and evolving government regulations. Key focus areas include:

Collective Impact Solutions: Exploring how CSOs can collectively address current and emerging challenges.

Shared Opportunities: Identifying collaborative strategies to unlock new avenues for growth and impact.

Leadership Change: Promoting evidence-based decision-making within Nigerian CSOs.

Impactful Innovation: Showcasing case studies of CSOs leveraging innovative approaches for positive change.

Domestic Philanthropy: Discussing reforms and opportunities for enhancing public giving and private sector engagement.

The Summit will feature a range of activities, including panel discussions with leading CSOs and donor representatives, and presentations of successful models and approaches in organizational development, advocacy, and private-sector engagement. Innovative tools and digital solutions for capacity strengthening will also be showcased, offering participants practical strategies for enhancing their impact.

The relevance of the Summit speaks for itself, which is evident in the number of participants willing to attend. Since the announcement of the 2024 OD Summit, over 1,200 participants have registered to join the event, both in-person and virtually. The Summit is expected to host 250 in-person participants and 2,000 virtual participants.

Spaces for Change is honoured to co-sponsor this pivotal event and looks forward to the robust discussions and innovative solutions emerging from the Summit. As stated by the Executive Director, Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri, “The O.D. Summit provides an unparalleled platform to enhance the synergies between CSOs and BMOs. I am confident that the 2024 Summit will deliver a transformative experience, empowering attendees to strengthen both individual and collaborative professional relationships. This, in turn, will foster increased cooperation and drive significant advancements across the sector”.
