COVID-19: Kano commissioner sacked for celebrating Abba Kyari’s death discharged

Former Kano State Commissioner, Engineer Muazu Magaji, who was relieved of his duties for celebrating the death of President Muhammadu Buhari’s former Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, on social media has been discharged from hospital after recovering from coronavirus.

Magaji, who was Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural development, announced this on his Facebook timeline.

According to him: “To the Glory of Allah SWT, today Friday 22nd May and 29th Ramadan I have been confirmed Covid-19 negative and discharged from Isolation centre.”

Kano State Governor Umar Ganduje sacked Magaji on April 18 for making indecent comments over the death of Kyari.

He tested positive for COVID-19 on May 7.
