Nigeria on Saturday recorded a new COVID-19 grim milestone with number of confirmed cases surpassing 28,000.
With 603 fresh cases of the virus on Saturday, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), said the country now has 28,167 confirmed cases.
Lagos maintained its unenviable lead with 135 cases, followed by Edo with 87 new cases.

Meanwhile, six people died of COVID-19 in Nigeria in the last 24 hours. The total deaths recorded now 634.
11,462 patients have so far been discharged, having recovered from the virus.
