Baring any last minute intrigues, the last hurdle facing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in its quest to conduct a national convention may have been crossed.
The ruling party has been bogged down by series of court actions initiated by its members.
But on Friday, a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) vacated one of such orders stopping the national convention of the APC, scheduled for March 26, from taking place.

In his judgment on Friday, Justice Bello Kawu said a political party cannot be sued by a member.
Relying on judicial precedence, Justice Kawu said the order of November 18, 2021, has been overtaken by a recent Supreme Court verdict on a similar matter.
The court subsequently fixed March 30 for the substantive suit.
In a related development, Mai Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State and caretaker chairman of the APC national convention committee on Thursday in Abuja said the party was at the finishing line of its preparations for the March 26 convention.
