Court filing reveals prop gun fired by Baldwin had live rounds

Court filing has revealed that the prop gun handed to actor Alec Baldwin, on the “Rust” movie set, had live rounds. 

The fatal incident, which led to the death of a cinematographer and injured a  film director, occurred while filming in the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Before the fatal shooting, Alec Baldwin, as handed a loaded gun on a film set by an assistant director, who was unaware it held live ammunition, court records show.

The assistant director did not know the prop gun was loaded with live rounds, according to a search warrant filed in a Santa Fe court.

Cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, was shot in the chest and later pronounced dead in the hospital.

However, the film Director, Joel Souza, standing behind Halyna cheated death but sustained injuries in the process. 

Souza was taken by ambulance to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Centre in Santa Fe, where he received emergency treatment for his injuries, the record shows.
