Justice Ibrahim Buba of Federal High Court in Lagos has struck out for lack of diligent prosecution a suit filed by a CSO, Civil Society Network Against Corruption (CSNAC), seeking an order of mandamus to compel the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to prosecute the Chairman of Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, Chief Goodie Ibru.
CSNAC, in a motion on notice, prayed the court for an order of mandamus directing EFCC to furnish it with the investigation report on the allegations of impersonation, fraud, obtaining money by false pretence and stealing it raised against Ibru and Sunday Akinsanya (both directors of IHL Services Ltd).
