A Federal High Court presided over by Justice John Tsoho this afternoon awarded the sum of N500 milloin to a music maestro King Sunny Ade (plaintiff)for copyright infringements on his music works by African Songs Limited and Take your Choice Records Stores Limited(defendants)
The court also awarded the sum of N3 million as costs to the plaintiff against the defendants.
Delivering judgement on the case that lasted for eight years, Justice Tsoho held that the plaintiff has established before the court that his musical works were infringed upon by the first and second defendants. The court however dismissed the claims against third to seventh defendants.
