Tottenham Hotspur boss, Antonio Conte, admitted that Chelsea deserved to win their London derby played on Sunday, August 14, at Stamford Bridge.

He, however, praised his team for earning a crucial 2-2 draw even though the Blue were the better team on the day.

Goals from Kalidou Koulibaly, Reece James, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Harry Kane ensured both teams shared the spoils.

Reacting to the score draw, Conte during his post-match press conference said, “Chelsea showed in this game better than us

“At the same time, we scored twice. In the three games last season we didn’t score. We got a point.”

However, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte were both sent off as tempers flared after Harry Kane’s last-gasp equaliser earned Tottenham the unlikeliest of points in a pulsating 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Conte and Tuchel had already been booked for a face-to-face altercation in the aftermath of Spurs’ first equaliser, scored by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (68), but came to blows after Kane had risen unmarked to head below-par Spurs level for the second time in the 96th-minute.

Tottenham’s next Premier League game is against Wolves next Saturday
