Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has set her sights on a record of 100 hours for the longest cooking time by an individual.
The cook’s decision to extend came on Monday evening at the behest of supporters cheering her on for the unprecedented feat at Amore Gardens, Lekki, venue of her cook-a-thon.
Hilda Baci started cooking at 4 pm on May 11 and planned to cook for 96 hours. She was scheduled to stop on May 15 at 4 pm Nigerian Time.

She has continued to receive a wave of support on social media from dignitaries including President Muhammadu Buhari, President-elect, Bola Tinubu; Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and former governor of Akwa Ibom, Godswill Akpabio.
Hilda Baci, born Hilda Bassey, is a native of Akwa Ibom.
The entrepreneur is now scheduled to stop at 8 pm Nigerian time.
Earlier, Guinness World Records said it was aware of the Nigerian’s attempt at setting a new record after one done by an Indian in 2019.
