Veteran singer and human rights activist, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has said that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), cannot sit as a judge in its own case after the examination body accused Anambra schoolgirl, Mmesoma Ejikeme of forgery.
TheNiche earlier reported that Mmesoma who claimed she scored 362, which was the highest in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) examination, was later accused of forging the result by JAMB.
Reacting to the allegation, the student in a now-viral video on social media on Monday, expressed shock at the development, insisting that she printed what is now being tagged as a fake result from JAMB’s portal.
She also frowned at the body’s decision to make such an allegation without proper investigation and argued that she is not capable of manipulating her own result.

However, despite her explanations, JAMB went ahead to take a punitive measure against her, as it banned her from sitting for the exam for the next 3 years.
Speaking on the development on Monday night, Charly Boy, who took to his Twitter handle on Monday night, expressed doubt on the claim by JAMB.
He also called on the body to make Mmesoma’s examination papers available for a remark by an independent body, saying the schoolgirl has exposed the corruption in the organisation.
Taking to his social media page he tweeted: “JAMB must produce her paper for an external body to remark. I don’t trust the mark they claim they awarded her right now.
“JAMB has ended up making the young girl popular and the girl on the other hand exposed JAMB corruption & ineptitude just like INEC.”
