Channels TV promotes Ambrose Okoh, Chamberlain Usoh, 7 others

Channels TV has promoted Ambrose Okoh, Chamberlain Usoh, and seven others.

The management of Channels Television has promoted nine staff members including Ambrose Okoh and Chamberlain Usoh.

A memo dated January 19, 2024 and signed by Folusho Oluwafemi, who was also promoted from head of human resources to the position of assistant general manager of human resources said Mr Okoh who was previously the controller of programmes is now the general manager of News and Current Affairs.

The statement further said Mr Usoh, who was Deputy Editor/Acting Station Manager, Abuja, was promoted to the position of Editor/Station Manager, Abuja.

Aderonke Raji, formerly Assistant Controller, is now Controller News; while Patrick Obuseh, the Assistant General Manager of International Operations was named the General Manager, Operations.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Okoh joined the station in November 1996. He is a graduate of Bendel State University, now Ambrose Alli University 1990.

He began his career in journalism with the Guardian Newspaper in 1993 and joined Channels Television three years later in 1996.

A fellow of the Guild of Editors, Okoh brought along his wealth of experience from The Guardian Foreign Desk and has worked variously in Channels Television as Reporter and News Correspondent.

Okoh later earned himself the sobriquet “General”, in his capacity as Controller of News. He has played a constructive role in the establishment of Channels Television Bureaus in some parts of the country.

He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the Lagos State University (LASU).

Other staff also promoted are Kingsley Uranta, who is now the General Manager, Channels Academy; Adeola Olumeyan was named General Counsel; while Louis Eka was also named controller of News.
