American rapper and songwriter, Belcalis Marlenis Cephus popularly known as Cardi B has addressed claims that she got paid to speak at Vice president Kamala Harris’ rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The ‘I Like It’ crooner on Friday spoke at the packed arena, where she formerly endorsed the Democratic Party’s candidate for this month’s presidential election.
Following Cardi B’s decision to back Harris against former president and Republican candidate, Donald Trump, there were rumours that she was paid for her appearance at the rally.

Reacting to the innuendos via her X handle, Cardi B denied receiving any monetary reward for her outing at Harris’ rally.
She went on to say her experience in life informed her decision to back the incumbent Vice President for the position of the US president.
Speaking via her verified social media page, she tweeted, “I did not get paid a dollar for this…I actually been talking about these topics for the past couple years for free on my platforms!! Before I was a celebrity I was a product of poverty for 24 years so you not gonna tell me what I want to see in my community.”
