Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State has condemned what it described as marginalization of Christians by the state government.
The state Chairman, Rev. Matthias Echioda, who disclosed this, lamented that Christians were not considered to head vital offices in the state.
He also condemned the recent feeding of Moslems on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia by the state government, stressing that the Sani Bello-led government is religiously bias.
Echioda argued, “A government that takes interest in one religion against all others is not in any way promoting peace but creating religious gaps and acrimony among the diverse ethno-religious nationalities in Niger State.”
It would be recalled that the state governor had said that the state would no longer sponsor pilgrims because is a private and personal affair.
